A NEW REVIEW FROM GLENDA BIXLER
From Glenda Bixler at Book Reader's Heaven
Love Turns the Tide has a good solid story line that allows readers to immediately empathize with the main character. We could be walking in her shoes--angry and upset over a broken relationship with a tarnished hero, forced to change jobs, move to a new location, leaving family and friends behind, and trying once again to gain the professional respect that can only be earned not demanded. Cammie is quick to share her concerns in prayers and to seek out scriptural references to guide her, sharing where she goes to find her inspiration to meet each day and move toward an unknown future. There is warmth and love surrounding Cammie and I quickly decided I wanted everything to turn out perfectly for her.
Even in suspense and concern of the breakins, readers will be pleasantly surprised with the outcome which, when it occurred, allowed Cammie to make her most important decision for the future. Heartwarming and enjoyable reading from Gail Pallotta.  The e-book is available from Awe-Struck Publishing! Don't Miss This one!
Miss Lynn Gives Love Turns the Tide 5+ Stars
Miss Lynn Says:
This is an excellent story with three main characters that grow on you right from the beginning, Cammie, Angie and Vic. The secondary characters are very much a part of this story line and they fit right in perfectly, including the ducks, which we cannot leave out. There is just enough suspense to the story to keep the reader turning the pages when someone has made it a point to vandalize Angie and Cammie's condo's. Can the police find the intruder before he strikes again and who seems to leave no clues. Just when the reader thinks they know who it is their mind changes just a little. Will this cause Cammie to stay in Destin or return home to family friends. What does her future hold.
When I started reading this newest book of Gail Pallotta's I didn't stop till I had it finished. I feel the bible verses were written into the story line very well reflecting on her thoughts about judging, faith and her prayers, without making the book preachy. The cover of the book is beautiful, simple but relates to the story, the characters are well defined and I feel like this book has a wide appeal, and can be accepted by many types of readers. It was interesting and a real pleasure to read.
Goddess Minx at LITERARY NYMPHS REVIEWS ONLY gave LOVE TURNS THE TIDE four nymphs. In her review she said:
"This is quite a surprisingly different type of story with a Christian aspect, and I want to express my appreciation to Gail Pallotta for creating such a fabulous book. LOVE TURNS THE TIDE is a heartfelt story for me, and the Bible verses added a nice spiritual connection. I loved the scriptures that were written, and it aroused my curiosity to find them for myself. The villain, although a bit confused, turns out to be a little misguided in his thinking, and he needed to feel more love from his family.
Although there is not a lot of history given on either of the main characters, I really rooted for them to be together and to me, it seems they both needed each other. I am looking forward to reading more from this author, and can only hope she doesn't change her style of writing."

MORE ABOUT THE BOOK

Cammie O’Shea suffers a traumatic split-up with her fiancé. At the same time a new job in Destin, Florida, calls her away from family and friends. Alone, her spirit broken, she hardly has the heart to meet her boss, Bill Collins, editor of The Sun Dial, let alone deal with the dynamic Vic Delona, a real estate developer. Yet her job and the success of the paper hinge on her writing a successful article about Vic and his new development. While she wants no relationships he thwarts her efforts to complete the assignment, arranges extra meetings and attempts to court her. She resists his advances. Then mysterious break-ins occur at Cammie and her friend’s condos. When Cammie and Vic launch their own investigation into the vandalism, Cammie grows close to him. In the midst of the confusion she gets an opportunity to return home to her old job. Will Vic solve the crimes and win Cammie’s heart or will she leave Destin?

Excerpt Below:

When she strolled on the wooden walkway to the gazebo that overlooked the seaside, seeing the beauty of the water and miles of white sand dotted with sea oats blowing in the breeze stopped her in her tracks. What a sight it must have been for the disciples when they saw Jesus upright on the lake. The Bible said they were frightened and thought it might be a spirit instead of Christ until he told them “…Take courage. It is I. Don’t be afraid.” Then Peter walked on the water. As long as he stayed focused on Jesus he never faltered, but when he became skeptical and turned his attention to the wind, he sank. In Matthew 14: 31, when Jesus caught him he said, “You of little faith, why did you doubt?” Why did she doubt? Now when she needed God most with her life spinning out of control, for some reason she didn’t understand she felt more estranged from him than she ever had. If only he would take the weight of the failed romance, the new job, and a new home off her shoulders. She was saying her prayers and reading her Bible every day. What more could she do? She strolled down the steps beyond the dunes amid the smell of salt and fish and stationed her chair in front of the sea, which seemed to call to her. So she waded through it to a sand bar, where the roaring water drowned out every other sound as the brine splashed on her long thin blue beach jacket. While the white capped waves broke beside her, she swung her arms upward and breathed deep again and again.

Before the sun grew too hot, she headed back toward her seat, where white sea gulls with gray trim soared overhead, squawking, then landed in a flock and stood at attention like miniature guards of the shore. Suddenly a sandpiper lit at the edge of the ocean and drilled at something so fast his tiny beak blurred. Fascinated, Cammie leaned forward and wondered if she’d ever seen anything so cute.

LATEST REVIEW FOR LOVE TURNS THE TIDE - 5 STARS

Love Turns the Tide is a wonderful Christian romance. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was fun, delightful, and entertaining. You can see a romance beginning to blossom at the beginning of the book, but then the author adds a twist to the story. She turns it into a mystery. Cammie is a reporter, sent to a small town to help a newspaper get on its feet. While there, she meets the handsome “tycoon,” Vic. And from here on, the reader can’t wait to see how Vic wins Cammie over. The reader can see the interest Vic has in Cammie, but she doesn’t see it. When someone breaks into her friend’s apartment and then breaks into hers, she and Vic set out to find the culprit. Anyone who loves Christian fiction will love this story.
